Happy Weekend!

And an extra happy weekend to our customedialabs Greek offices! (It’s a long, holiday weekend in Greece.)

Of course, it’s just a regular old weekend here in the US.  We won’t be having any feasts or parties.

Unless you count this customedialabs Link Party.  Which is awesome, but severely lacking food.

We’ll work on that.

In the meantime, here are the 11 most fascinating things on the web right now:

  1. Regina shared this story about some of the latest innovations and uses for augmented reality.
  2. Kyriaki found these photos of a DIY Porsche. That’s right.  A Porsche this guy built in his garage.
  3. She also wants to make sure everyone checks out the Parseid Meteor Shower tonight!
  4. I’ve always wondered why restaurant websites are so bad.  Slate answered the question for me this week.
  5. Pantos found this amazing interactive iPad app for kids.  It’s an app for a book that gets it’s own trailer.  It’s that cool.
  6. Our Head of Innovation, Yanis, is begging to do a project that uses this technology. He’s so desperate that he’ll work for free!  Is he joking? I’m not sure…
  7. Humans, as a species, cannot achieve happiness.  Or so claims the author of this funny (and surprisingly well-though-out) article that Pantelis shared.
  8. Ever wondered what Google thinks of you?  Pantelis also shared this link to managing your Google preferences; you can change what kind of ads you see online!
  9. Debbi shared this helpful article to help you choose an advertising agency.  (Quick tip: choose customedialabs!)
  10. Georgia was reading up on current trends this week.  She found this article with 11 Web Trends for 2011.  (The big takeaway?  2011 is about function.)
  11. And if you have been seeing loopy apples all over the place, maybe this Logo Design Trends for 2011 will help you understand why.
